Doyles, Limerick and NYC

Some images of Doyle family members. Some of these prints have captions, which I’ve transcribed, because they give a sense of the person writing them. Some are pretty grainy, but I liked them for the captions. Enjoy.

  1. Hello Sioban,

This is a wonderful idea and you have captured some great connections with the past.

Ellen Rael, who married James Doyle, is a sister of my grandfather James Real. As my grandfather was the youngest in his family, I never met any of his brothers and sisters. I can trace the 1901 Census, the 1911 Census and the Burial Records for James Doyle and Ellen Rael and their family. It seems from your post that their daughter Margaret Mary Doyle married a Fitzgerald and you can take it from there in the USA.

I am working on my own family tree and I would be delighted to follow this up with you and share more detail. You will have my email from this post.

    Regards,

    Gerard
