Andrew C. Moore traveled several times from NYC back to Ireland, visiting his relatives in Dublin and his wife, Julia Lennon Moore’s relatives at Tinnecarrig and the Byrne farm in Carlow. He carried his camera constantly and took as many pictures to bring home to Julia as possible. During these trips, Julia stayed in NYC with her two children, Mary and Andrew, Jr.
Here are several Andrew. Sr. took while in Tinnecarrig, the Byrne farm and during his sister-in-law (Julia’s older sister) Minnie’s visit to New York City.

Terrific! Thank you! I thought it might be your parents’ house, but wanted to be sure. And thank you for confirming that is your mother. I found another shot at the same time, and will post soon. Thanks also for the feedback about Minnie. I spoke to Cis today and she told me Bridie’s coming out and will no doubt be able to identify more people and dates. Cheers, S

The older man in the photos with Granny and Bridie your refer to as the Farm hand was a man named John Merriman who worked in Tinnecarrig for a good part of his life He is buried in Ballymurphy and came from a place called Killinck Co Wexford.
